My name is Briana Harvath and I am the face behind Beach Babe Blog!
A LITTLE ABOUT ME!
Northeast Philadelphia, born & raised! I am a fashionista from birth, raised by parents who love it as much as I do! My mom always taught me how to be beautiful, inside and out!
I grew up a happy child with a close knit family. They are my world. I'm an only child, and my parents are my best friends. I don't know what I would do without them.

In school, I discovered my passion for theatre and the arts. I was in lots of musicals and even took vocal lessons.
I attended college at Coastal Carolina University in South Carolina for Musical Theatre. I eventually realized I wasn't meant to live the actor's life, so I switched to Technical Theatre. In that, I focused on Costume Design and Construction.
After graduating in 2013, I moved back to Philly to do an internship at Showroom77 with the owner and now good friend of mine Angela. Through a whirlwind of events, fashion shows and buyer meetings, she encouraged me to start my own fashion blog. So I did.

From there, I went on to work several different jobs here and there, but didn't find anything that truly made me happier than writing. That's when I decided to go back to school to get my second Bachelor's in Interactive Journalism.
While working on my degree, I continued to blog, learned more and more about social media and even worked for the school paper as a feature writer and social media manager. I also was able to snag a job working part time at one of the local news stations.
In 2017, I graduated and moved on to begin my career. I continued to work part time at WPDE until I was promoted to a Digital Content Producer later that year.
News isn't exactly what I thought I'd wind up doing after getting my journalism degree, but it certainly has brought a lot to my life.
At WPDE I met my husband and thrived as a producer. In my free time, I still worked on this blog and my social media accounts.
In June 2019, I married the love of my life and my best friend. I have truly never been happier. We had a beautiful beach wedding and were surrounded by our loved ones.
Life after the wedding was a whirlwind. We went on a beautiful Hawaiian honeymoon, and shortly after we returned, we moved to Fort Myers, Florida to start our life as a married couple.
I worked as a digital content producer and social lead at WINK News; and while we both loved Florida, we realized news really wasn't for us and had some personal things going on that pushed us to move on to something new.

The pandemic brought a lot of hard times and harder choices, but one I definitely am glad I made is to start my own business. I'm currently the owner of my own social media management and branding agency called Coastal Social and have gotten to do some pretty great things!
And while running my own business hasn't left much time for personal endeavors, I'm working to make this blog a safe space and creative outlet!
ABOUT THE BLOG
I created this blog not only as a creative outlet, but also to jump start my career in the fashion industry. Fashion has always been a large part of my life. Along with that, I'm a writer and I'm very creative so it seemed natural to put the two together!
As this blog has grown over the years (est. 2013), it has evolved from fashion show recaps, to my latest travel and beauty favorites. It has evolved as I have grown up and evolved as a person.
When I started writing this, I was fresh out of college and a little lost. Ten years later, I'm married to my best friend, thriving in my career and have learned so much.
I hope to continue writing and enjoying seeing how my writing changes and grows. I have loved writing this blog and helping others through my experiences!
