It's Time for a Rebrand!

For the first time ever, I've done a total 180 and have switched from our beloved Sequin Gowns & Mermaid Crowns to 🌺 BEACH BABE BLOG!🌺

On the heels of the blog's 10th anniversary it just seemed like the right time for a refresh to reflect how much I have changed and what is important in my life now more so than 10 years in the past.

When I started this blog, I was 22 years old, fresh out of college and just starting my life. The name "Sequin Gowns & Mermaid Crowns" was representative of my life at that time -- interning at a fashion showroom in Center City, Philadelphia, attending Fashion Week shows, and working with models. I'd say my life then, while chaotic, was just a bit more glamorous, which I honestly did not appreciate enough. The mermaid part came from me just being me. I've always been a beachy girl and love mermaids so I wanted to represent that part of my life as well.

Fast forward ten years, I'm 32 years old, married, a business owner and living by the beach. Long gone are the days of late city nights and fashion runways. And while that hurts a bit to say, because part of me wishes I could still enjoy those things, my life now is focused on family, travel, and just enjoying my life. My thoughts, priorities, goals, and hobbies have changed and so have I. But don't worry, I'm still me!

So what's new and what's hanging around?

The obvious is the brand refresh. I've chosen the name Beach Babe Blog to represent my current life more and also to be a companion to my YouTube channel, Beach Babe Beauty, which I also hope to raise from the dead soon. I've also gone for a more sleek and groovy style with a brighter color palette. I've learned SO much about design since I started this blog, so I felt like it deserved an upgrade!

My content will largely stay the same: Beauty reviews, travel tips, and other just life related subjects like health and wellness.

What will be going away: In the past few years I've been away from this blog, I started a blog just for my book reviews -- Beach Reads with Bri. So if you're interested in those, please follow me there! There also won't be quite as much Disney content, since I no longer live in Florida. :(

And that's pretty much the gist of it for now! I'm sure there will be plenty of new things to come in the future. I'm looking forward to bring back this part of my life and having this creative outlet just to write!
